
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Manager with 3–4 years of experience in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering fields. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services necessary for project execution, while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
3–4 years of experience in a procurement or purchase role within the engineering or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of materials and equipment used in civil, electrical, and mechanical works.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Tally, ERP systems).
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of contract law and procurement best practices.
Familiarity with local and pan India vendors.
Experience in project-based procurement for infrastructure or industrial projects.
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, and reliability.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment.
Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to determine procurement needs.
Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure the best value.
Maintain and update supplier databases and procurement records.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams for stock management.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Evaluate vendor performance regularly and take corrective actions when necessary.
Collaborate with the finance department for payment processing and budgeting.
